I don't know much about cameras. Really. I've even subscribed to a photographers message board, but I'm still clueless about exposure, apertures, light meters and post processing. 99% of the time, I use that wonderful auto-focus feature. The 1% that I don't, I usually scrap the photo. I will say that I'm not afraid to use the handy auto settings (sports, low light, close up, landscape and flash off), if I remember! I'd like to think that where I lack in technical skills, I make up for in artistic ability. Light, color, composition and balance are what I focus on. I usually frame the shot to be as I see it in the view finder. A little cropping from time to time is okay, but who has time to work on all those photos when it's so much faster to just post them as is. This spring I've been obsessed with the clear color saturation in the bright sunlight. Here is a series of my "orchard" in bloom: And not really a stone fruit, but I just couldn't resist:

BIO:Anna and her husband Todd own Arcadia Gardens, LLC a Stevensville, MI based landscape design and build company. Her degree in Horticulture with a focus on landscape management from Michigan State University allows Anna to select plants specific to on-site conditions and with maintenance requirements that suit the client's needs.
